Terms & Conditions When Making Donations

 

Acknowledgements

The Donor confirms to Choptober that the Donor:

  1. is authorised in all respects to make the Donation and all information provided by the Donor to Choptober is true and correct;
  2. upon making a Donation, agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions; and
  3. acknowledges that it has read and understood these terms and conditions.

Transaction Currency

Donations are transacted in New Zealand currency.

Non-Refundable

Donations are non-refundable.

Choptober credit card information security policy

Choptober uses the DPS Payment Express Payment Gateway for its online credit card transactions. DPS processes online credit card transactions securely for thousands of merchants globally, providing a safe and secure online payment service.

  • Payments are processed in real-time
  • Choptober does not have access to your full card number, this credit card payment is secured by DPS
  • DPS have bank grade security. All transaction details are stored in their PCI-DSS compliant Data Centre
  • DPS Payment Express Software is certified with over 200 banks globally

Complaints or Disputes

Any complaint or concern by a Donor regarding a Donation made by the Donor may be made in writing to disputes@choptober.co.nz.

In the event of any dispute between Choptober and the Donor, the parties agree to attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith by negotiation within five (5) working days.

 New Zealand Law

All Donations are governed by New Zealand law in every respect. Any legal proceedings arising out of or in connection Donations will be brought only in Hamilton, New Zealand or at any other location within New Zealand nominated by Choptober at its sole discretion.

 Terms

For the purpose of these terms and conditions:

  • Choptober means The Choptober Foundation being a New Zealand registered Charitable Trust.
  • Donation means a payment made by the Donor which is collected by Choptober via its Website for the purpose of distribution to a charity named on the Website.
  • Donor means a person who makes a Donation.
  • Website means Choptober’s website www.choptober.co.nz.
